Getting to the Root of the Problem

Through an in-depth health history intake, observation of your complexion, and a pulse and tongue diagnosis, points will be selected to treat any constitutional deficiencies or excesses that may be behind your skin problems. The wisdom in Chinese medicine is to treat the root, not the branch (symptoms). For example, the branch may be dull, dry complexion, puffy eyes, or acne-prone skin but the root often involves deeper health problems like a digestive issue, inflammation, hormonal imbalances, circulatory issues or others. This is why my goal with facial acupuncture is to get your internal health as strong as possible while also working to reduce or even eliminate the unwanted signs of aging on your face.

One Study found that the majority of people saw improvements after just five sessions of facial acupuncture, I recommend 10 treatments once or twice a week to see optimum results. After that, you can come for a “maintenance stage,” where you get the treatment every four to eight weeks.
